The Early Childhood Resource Center (ECRC) is at the forefront of an innovative, collaborative effort to strengthen Akron’s early learning landscape. On September 4, the ECRC joined with more than a dozen community partners, as the City of Akron announced the launch of a Unified Early Learning System (UELS) for Summit County. A Whole Community, Inc. in Wayne County near Canton has partnerships with local farms that allow the non-profit to acquire “seconds” produce at reduced costs for its Community Food Project. The Sisters of Charity Foundation of Canton has supported the food project in recent years. The program provides free, fresh produce to underserved individuals and families.…

The new $22 million Women Religious Archives Collaborative (WRAC) Heritage Center in Cleveland broke ground on July 22. Once completed in spring 2027, it will be one of four collaborative repositories in the country that will hold the archives of Catholic sisters.
