In 2015, the foundation launched Generative Spirit to grow the capacity of Catholic sisters and their ministries to develop the next generation of lay leaders. South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families to benefit from Men's Wearhouse National Suit Drive

The South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families is again partnering with Men's Wearhouse for the retailer's 12th annual National Suit Drive. The center is one of hundreds of nationwide nonprofit organizations to benefit from the campaign, which provides professional clothing for men re-entering the workforce. Throughout July, Men's Wearhouse will give customers 50 percent off the purchase of select items when they donate gently used suits or other professional attire during the campaign. [More]

St. Vincent Charity physician offers tips for preventing back pain and injury at work

Nearly 40 million Americans suffer from chronic lower back pain, according to new research. Millions of workers, particularly those in heavy labor-related jobs, either miss work or are forced to change jobs every year because of their pain. However, St. Vincent Charity Medical Center’s orthopedic spine surgeon Dr. Jeffrey Shall said there is help for those who suffer from work-related back pain and tips to avoid injury on the job. Regina Health Center ranks #3 in Ohio for residential care family satisfaction and #13 for nursing home satisfaction

Regina Health Center has again scored high in the recently released Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) Family Satisfaction Survey for both skilled nursing and assisted living. In the survey for residential care facilities (assisted living), Regina Health Center had a score of 97.4 out of 100, which is the third highest score among 743 total facilities. In the counterpart skilled nursing family survey, Regina Health Center had a score of 91.2 out of 100, ranking 13th among 986 total facilities in Ohio. [More]

Catholic Diocese of Cleveland: Perseverance in Hope 2019 luncheon benefits Joseph’s Home

More than 320 people attended the sold-out Joseph's Home annual fundraising luncheon, Perserverance in Hope, June 19 in Cleveland. The Most Reverend Nelson J. Perez, Bishop of Cleveland, was the keynote speaker, telling the crowd, “Hope in the midst of despair is at the center of Christianity. The resurrection offers us hope. Regina Health Center receives Circle of Excellence Award from national nursing administration association

The National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration in Long Term Care (NADONA) recently awarded Regina Health Center with its highest honor, the Circle of Excellence Award, at a conference in Las Vegas. The award recognizes Regina Health Center for being one of only a handful of nursing homes in Ohio to receive a deficiency-free survey from the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) in 2018. [More]
