Mercy Medical Center’s emergency department renovation to benefit from 2012 Harvest Ball

Mercy Service League is holding its 2012 Harvest Ball on Saturday, October 27, to benefit Mercy Medical Center’s emergency department (E.D.) renovation and expansion. The event is in the Canton Memorial Civic Center’s McKinley Room.

This year’s Harvest Ball theme, White Hot, will transform the McKinley Room into a stylish, art nouveau venue for dining, dancing, fun and fellowship. Harvest Ball 2012 will be an elegant, relaxed and fun-filled evening. With no auction, no program and no raffle tickets to purchase during the Service League’s signature event, no wallets are required.

Frank Kaeberlein, M.D., chairman of Mercy’s Department of Emergency Medicine, has been named honorary physician chair of the event. (Dr. Kaeberlein and his wife ,Debra, are pictured to the right.) Michelle Johnson and Gail Moore are Mercy Service League co-chairs.

“The renovation and expansion of Mercy Medical Center’s E.D. will greatly benefit the community for years to come,” said Dr. Kaeberlein, “My wife Debbie and I have enjoyed many past Harvest Balls, and we believe in the importance of supporting the new E.D. I encourage members of the medical staff and community to make reservations and join us for a great cause and an exceptional evening.”

Cocktails will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. Dessert and dancing will start at 9 p.m. Attire is Cocktail Party/Black-tie optional. Individual dinner tickets are $175 each; tickets for dessert and dancing (9 p.m. arrival time) are $65. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 330-489-1018.

In addition to being the medical director and chairman of Mercy’s E.D, Harvest Ball honorary chair Dr. Kaeberlein also serves as chairman of the Medical Staff Performance Improvement Committee and president-elect of the medical staff at Mercy Medical Center.
