Light of Hearts Villa raises more than $65,000 through Forever Remember virtual fundraiser

Light of Hearts Villa has hosted its annual Fall Fest fundraiser since the first year of operation in 1989, with more than 300 guests coming to enjoy a meal, browse craft tables and purchase raffle tickets. This year’s event had fundraising efforts going virtual, but that didn’t dampen enthusiasm. More than $65,000 was raised for the “Forever Remember Campaign” to support the Lumen Lane Memory Care Unit expansion project and to enhance programming for residents with memory disorders.

A recording of the event's virtual broadcast is available here on YouTube.

“We are grateful for a community who accepts and endures these changing times with us. We are blown away by the amount of support received.” said Executive Director Breanne Cavileer. “Whether you sponsored the event, contributed a donation or provided an item or gift card for our online raffle and auction, you made this a success. Your willingness to help us succeed in our mission is unprecedented, even in a wild year like this.”

The new memory care center is on track to be completed by the end of 2020. Click here to see photos of the construction progress.

Light of Hearts Villa is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System.
