Healthy Learners highlights successful 2015-16 school year serving children in latest newsletter

Healthy Learners is devoted to removing children's health barriers to learning with love and compassion, which can be seen in the number of children it serves and the personal stories told by those children and families.

The latest issue of the Healthy Insights from Healthy Learners newsletter highlights the numbers behind the services Healthy Learners provided in the 2015-2016 school year—which included 4,950 vision, dental, medication and other health-related services, while traveling more than 87,000 miles to provide access to health care for 1,567 children in five program areas across the state.

The newsletter also features a story about one child who was helped by a much-needed new pair of glasses and medication, plus updates for the five Healthy Learners across South Carolina, news and event updates, and a partner profile about the valuable work one family medical practice provides to Healthy Learners Allendale students.
