Sr. Judith Ann Karam, CSA, joins other faith-based leaders in Washington, D.C., to spread the word about the importance of the 2020 Census

The U.S. Census Bureau convened faith-based leaders from across the country for the 2020 Census Interfaith Summit February 18 at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., to discuss the importance of encouraging members of their communities to respond to the 2020 Census. Sister Judith Ann Karam, CSA, congregational leader for the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine, was part of the panel discussion. Her message and those of other faith-based leaders were shared nationally on NPR. [More]

Sister Judith Ann Karam, CSA, to be part of 2020 Census Interfaith Partner Summit panel discussion

The 2020 Census starts in a month, when homes across the country will begin receiving invitations to complete the census. The faith community is being asked to help encourage everyone, including hard-to-count individuals and families, to respond to the census. The U.S. Census Bureau is hosting an Interfaith Partner Summit February 18 in Washington, D.C., with faith-based leaders from across the nation for a moderated panel discussion about the 2020 Census to help kick off this faith-based outreach. Sisters of Charity Health System Names New Senior Vice President of Mission and Ministry

The Sisters of Charity Health System has named James Armour as senior vice president of mission and ministry. In this role, he will give leadership and oversight to mission and values across the health system. He will oversee programs and processes to ensure the decisions, policies and programs of the health system and all operating units are consistent with the mission, philosophy, faith obligations and values of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine, as well as the elements of Catholic identity and the social teachings of the Catholic Church.
