Healthy Learners names new executive director

The Healthy Learners Board of Trustees has selected Amy Splittgerber as the new executive director of the organization, which is a faith-based non-profit that connects school-aged children to health care providers to help remove barriers to school success. Splittgerber has more than 20 years of experience in public health, including serving as the founding director for two non-profit organizations focused on fostering sustainable, healthy communities. 24-hour online giving events happening now to benefit Healthy Learners

Healthy Learners is participating in two 24-hour online giving events that are happening today (May 1). Palmetto Giving Day supports 54 nonprofit organizations working in Georgetown County, South Carolina. Also today is Midlands Gives. In addition to receiving the money donated, every gift made through MidlandsGives.org until midnight helps the chances of Healthy Learners winning prizes given throughout the day ranging from $500 to $5,000.
