South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families receives grants from The Leon Levine Foundation and DreamBee Foundation

The South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families recently received two grants, one for $75,000 from The Leon Levine Foundation and one for $10,000 from the DreamBee Foundation.

Established in 1980 by Leon Levine (founder and chairman emeritus of Family Dollar Stores, Inc.), The Leon Levine Foundation supports programs and organizations that improve the human condition. This grant will further the benchmark work of the center with fathers and families across South Carolina.

The DreamBee Foundation's mission is to stop child abuse and neglect by promoting resilient families and advocating for policies and practices that strengthen economic support for families.

“The DreamBee Foundation is excited to partner with the center. We are impressed with the work that has been done with this program, and the work that will continue to be done with these promising juniors and seniors,” said Charlene Keys Bowen, founder of the foundation. “We would also like to offer a special thanks to the Pollinate the Dream Cohort of students from Benedict College Social Work Department who raised over $700 hosting a virtual telethon to contribute to the grant.”
