Miguel Chavez, senior vice president of mission & ministry for the Sisters of Charity Health System, recently appeared on the Wisdom From The Rock Podcast with Deacon Jim Armstrong. Chavez discussed his upcoming January 8, 2026, First Friday Club of Cleveland address, "Theology: Called to Mission."

He mentioned the focus of his address will be about "how we are called as missionary disciples to become storytellers whereby we proclaim Christ in word and deed, and how that shapes not only our lives but the communities we exist in and really our call and our own discernment." He added, "I'm excited about how do we discern and consider ourselves storytellers of the faith."

In his role as senior vice president of mission & ministry, Chavez oversees the integration of the philosophy and values of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine into the daily operations of the Sisters of Charity Health System.

The First Friday Club of Cleveland is a unique luncheon forum for Catholic thought and inspiration held monthly at the Center for Pastoral Leadership in Wickliffe.
