SCHS communicator chosen for Leadership Cleveland class of 2017

Heather Stoll, vice president of external affairs for the Sisters of Charity Health System, has been selected to the Leadership Cleveland class of 2017 by the Cleveland Leadership Center (CLC). Stoll joins a class of 65 other members who were chosen through a competitive and highly selective application process.

Leadership Cleveland is a 10-month program that empowers senior-level leaders with additional knowledge, skills and relationships to advance and deepen their community impact. It engages participants in opportunities to address community issues through collaborative civic leadership while developing a broader and more diverse set of relationships among peers.

“Leadership Cleveland classmates and graduates take active roles in being forces for positive and sustainable change in our region," said CLC Board Chair Larry Oscar and an alumnus of the Leadership Cleveland Class of 2009.

The program year begins with a retreat in September. One day each month, participants take part in a civically themed session built around a curriculum featuring other civic, political and business leaders. A class trip in May allows participants to learn from civic engagement activities elsewhere around the country.

After a commencement ceremony in June 2017, the graduates will join more than 1,700 other community leaders who have completed the program in its past 38 years.

Leadership Cleveland empowers recognized, senior-level positional leaders with knowledge, skills and relationships to advance and deepen their community impact through:

  • A highly interactive, intentionally designed leadership curriculum that features civic, political and business leaders. 
  • Developing a broader and more diverse network of leaders. 
  • Opportunities to address key community issues through collaborative civic engagement.

Participants in the 10-month program represent a diverse group of recognized and established C-suite, senior-level experienced leaders from across a wide variety of organizations representing the public, private and nonprofit sectors. Participants are diverse in age, race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, education, profession and religion.
