Remembering Sister Mary Jacob Yelcho, CSA
We mourn the loss of one of our leaders, Sr. Mary Jacob Yelcho, CSA, and a beloved Sister of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine.
Sr. Mary Jaocb Yelcho was called home to eternal rest on May 28, 2026. For 24 years, she served at Providence Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina, as its president/executive director from 1967 until 1991, leading with with steadfast courage, dedication to her staff, and a profound commitment to the community. Her friendship, humor and kind soul will be deeply missed.
