Regina Health Center named one of America’s best nursing homes by Newsweek; #7 in Ohio

Regina Health Center has been named one of America’s best nursing homes by Newsweek. For the second year in a row, Newsweek ranked Regina Health Center among the top 10 nursing homes in Ohio on its prestigious America’s Best Nursing Homes 2026 list. Regina Health Center ranked #7 on the list for facilities with 50-99 beds.

The rankings are based on four pillars:

  • Performance data (staff-to-patient ratio, quality measures, health inspections)
  • Peer evaluations (surveys from nurses, physicians, and other medical professionals)
  • Accreditations (official recognition by key organizations for quality and safety standards)
  • Resident satisfaction (positive reviews from patients and residents and their families)

“The entire Regina Health Center team is thrilled to see their hard work and dedication pay off. Moving up to #7 on the list in the entire state and being in the top 10 two years in a row is a great testament to our mission of providing compassionate health care services,” said Regina Health Center Executive Director Mark Yantek. “It also reinforces our reputation as a mission-driven care facility that provides the highest level of care and excellent services.”

Working in partnership with global data-intelligence firm Statista, Newsweek analyzed 14,752 nursing homes in the United States and highlighted the leading 1,200 nursing homes on its America’s Best Nursing Homes 2026 list—awarding nursing homes state-by-state that excelled at quality of care, commitment to safety and resident well-being. Newsweek uses data from the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in making determinations. The intent of Newsweek’s annual list is to provide a tool that assists older adults and their families in making informed decisions about long-term care.

Regina Health Center has also received previous accolades from U.S. News & World Report. The America’s Best Nursing Homes 2026 winners were recognized in three categories based on size: large (150+ certified beds), medium (100–149 certified beds), and small (50–99 certified beds).
