Online giving events to benefit Healthy Learners and South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families

Healthy Learners and the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families are preparing for two upcoming online giving days. Both ministries are participating in Midlands Gives (May 4) and Palmetto Giving Day (May 4-5).

Midlands Gives is presented by the Central Carolina Community Foundation and brings the region together as one community, raising money and awareness for local nonprofits in 11 Midlands counties. In addition to being a year-round resource for donors across the Midlands, the initiative amplifies donations during an 18-hour online giving challenge the first Tuesday of May. Since its inception in 2014 the event has raised $12.6 million for local nonprofits. During the giving day on May 4, donations are also tracked through the site's leaderboard and prizes are awarded to amplify donations.

WLXT-TV in Columbia reported on Midlands Gives, highlighting the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition, which is a fatherhood program of the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families. Watch the segment and read more here.

This year Palmetto Giving Day is a 36-hour, online giving event that supports nonprofit organizations working in Georgetown County, which includes Healthy Learners Waccamaw and A Father's Place, which is a fatherhood program of the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families.
