Health System outreach ministries in Ohio raise more than $490,000 through #weGIVECATHOLIC
The Ohio outreach ministries of the Sisters of Charity Health System had a record-setting 2025 #weGIVECATHOLIC day of giving, raising more than $490,000 from matching gift challenges, advance gifts and day-of gifts. #weGIVECATHOLIC happened on December 2, which is also Giving Tuesday, a national day of giving for nonprofits. More than 240 organizations throughout Northeast Ohio participated.
Ohio ministries of the Health System that participated in #weGIVECATHOLIC included the Early Childhood Resource Center, Joseph & Mary's Home, Light of Hearts Villa, Regina Health Center and the St. Vincent Charity Health & Healing Hub.
Participating #weGIVECATHOLIC organizations are ranked on the number of donors. In the non-profit category, Light of Hearts Villa ranked #2, Joseph & Mary’s Home ranked #4 and Regina Health Center ranked #8. Light of Hearts Villa also led the way for the entire Catholic Diocese of Cleveland in total dollars raised. Thanks to two exceedingly generous $100,000 matching gifts, the total of $418,918 nearly quadrupled the next highest total raised by any nonprofit, parish or school.
