Mercy Medical Center profiles rehab patient’s story

Brian Snyder was gradually losing his physical motor skills. Despite diagnostic test results that came back normal, William Washington, M.D., physical rehabilitative medicine physician and medical director of Mercy Regional Rehabilitation Center, knew something wasn't right. Strauss as president & CEO of the Sisters of Charity Health System. St. Vincent Charity receives $200,000 grant for resilient youth project

The Resilient Youth Project will enroll 20 youth ages 13-15 years from the neighborhood in work and activities designed to teach both life and job skills, as well as promote education and community impact, all while earning a small stipend. Sisters of Charity Health System continues to oppose proposed House GOP ACA repeal bill and Medicaid cuts

The House is scheduled to vote March 23 on legislation to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The American Health Care Act would impose major structural changes and funding limits to the Medicaid program, disrupting coverage for some of our nation's most vulnerable populations. The legislation also would replace current subsidies for coverage under the ACA with tax credits that will disproportionately exclude the poor, the sick and older Americans from affordable coverage. Cleveland Magazine Features 100-Day Challenge to End Youth Homelessness

As one of three communities selected nationally for the 100-Day Challenge to end youth homelessness, Cleveland’s team exceeded its ambitious goal by housing 105 homeless young adults in Cuyahoga County in 100 days. Cleveland Magazine recently published commentary and an extensive feature on the experiences of four young adults housed through the course of the 100-Day Challenge. [More]
