Mercy Medical Center radiology technologist honored by statewide organization
The Ohio Society of Radiologic Technologists (OSRT) recently presented Gary Greathouse, Mercy Medical Center director of the radiology tech program, with its technologist of the year award.
Greathouse has served as an OSRT director and on OSRT committees for many years, including several years as the honors committee chair. He is currently serving as the marketing committee co-chair. He has also served the profession as an American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) chapter delegate and has presented numerous educational sessions at local and state society conferences.
Greathouse also works with Rad-Aid International, a non-profit public service agency with a mission to increase and improve radiology resources in developing countries. With assistance from an ASRT grant, Greathouse made a trip to Kenya with a Rad-Aid group and helped work in imaging facilities and assisted in the education of technologists.
