Mercy Medical Center lab achieves reaccreditation from College of American Pathologists

The College of American Pathologists (CAP) recently awarded Mercy Medical Center Pathology and Laboratory Medicine its Cycle 2 CAP 15189 designation, a reaccreditation based on the quality standards outlined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Sister Ignatia Gavin, CSA honored at Alcoholic Anonymous International Assembly

More than 85,000 people gathered July 2nd – 5th, at the Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) International Assembly in Atlanta. There, Sister Judith Ann Karam, CSA, accepted the 35 millionth copy of the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous on behalf of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine in memory of Sister Ignatia Gavin, CSA, who was commonly referred to as the “angel of Alcoholics Anonymous.” The convention marked AA’s 80th anniversary.
