St. Vincent Charity Medical Center performs rare spine surgery to treat uncommon condition

Spondyloptosis is an uncommon condition, which means not many surgeons have experience in treating it. Lou Keppler, M.D., co-director the Spine and Orthopedic Institute at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center, is one of few surgeons who have experience performing the procedure done to treat the condition. Dr. Keppler performed the complicated procedure on a Cleveland-area woman, who has since made a strong recovery. [More]

St. Vincent Charity hosts Caritas fundraising event; honors four individuals

For the past 30 years, St. Vincent Charity Medical Center hosted its premier fundraising event, known as Pizzazz. The hospital hosted the event in October with 500 people attending, but with a new name—Caritas—which is Latin for love of all people. The event celebrated St. Vincent Charity’s important role in Cleveland with a night of entertainment and awards, highlighting several people who personify the mission and values of the hospital.
