Health system senior VP of mission and ministry to speak at Engage! Cleveland’s Next Generation of Women seminar

Cleveland-area women can gain advice from local female leaders, including Jan Murphy, senior vice president of mission and ministry at the Sisters of Charity Health System, on topics ranging from self-care to networking this month at Engage! Cleveland’s Next Generation of Women seminar.

The half-day conference, slated for March 28 at the Cleveland MetroParks Zoo, consists of nothing but professional and personal advice to help guide the up-and-coming women in Cleveland, featuring some of the area’s most noteworthy female professionals across all industries. It is designed to allow women professionals to connect with each other and seek guidance from women in leadership. The program will include five, 50-minute talks on subjects like authentic leadership and finances from these Northeast Ohio female professionals:

  • Jan Murphy, senior vice president of mission and ministry, Sisters of Charity Health System
  • Emily Drake, partner, Fairport Asset Management
  • Jennifer Cohen, senior vice president, leadership development, Ratliff & Taylor
  • Margaret Bernstein, director of advocacy and community initiatives, WKYC Channel 3
  • Cathy Belk, president, JumpStart Inc.

The event, in its second year, costs $75 to attend, and includes lunch. Last year, more than 275 women attended the program.

“Our inaugural event far exceeded our expectations and shows that young women in our community are looking for professional development opportunities,” Engage! Cleveland President Ashley Basile Oeken said.
