Sisters of Charity Foundation of Canton seeking to fund student service projects

To commemorate two decades of service to the community, the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Canton is offering a competitive grant program for Stark County schools serving students from kindergarten through high school.

The Developing Servant Leaders in Stark County program offers grants up to $1,000 for Stark County students and teachers to plan and implement projects focused on the growth and well-being of people and the communities where they live. A minimum of 20 grants will be awarded.

Projects must be led by at least one teacher or administrator and can be submitted on behalf of a classroom, club or groups of students who attend any Stark County school. The project must be able to be completed by the end of next school year. The foundation encourages collaboration across grade levels, school buildings and districts, but will not accept more than two applications per school building.

Visit http://scfcanton.org/newsletter.html for more details and to apply. Deadline for applications is September 23. The awards will be announced October 21.

The Sisters of Charity Foundation of Canton is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System.
