South Carolina foundation partners with Marcus Lattimore Foundation DREAMS

South Carolina foundation partners with Marcus Lattimore Foundation DREAMS

The Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina launched its #fightpovertysc campaign earlier this year to encourage others to fight poverty across South Carolina. The foundation plans to partner with well-known South Carolinians throughout its 20th anniversary year to spread awareness.

The first partnership of the #fightpovertysc campaign is with the Marcus Lattimore Foundation DREAMS. The campaign asks people to join the fight against poverty by posting their best selfie to fightpovertysc.com. Lattimore, a former professional football player, visited the foundation to help create a video challenging people across South Carolina to step up in the fight against poverty.

In honor of the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina’s 20th Anniversary, the foundation will donate a dollar in the name of each person who goes to fightpovertysc.com and fills out the social media form and shares on either Facebook or Twitter. Social media users are encouraged to spread the word with hashtag #fightpovertysc and share fightpovertysc.com with friends and colleagues, and encourage them to invite everyone they know to participate in the campaign.

At the end of the #fightpovertysc campaign, donated dollars will be disbursed to foundation grantees in locations across the state that represent those individuals who participated in the campaign.

The Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System.
