Mercy Medical Center teams up with Walsh University to provide free health screenings

Mercy Medical Center recently partnered with Walsh University to provide free health screenings and wellness information during the college's annual health fair for students, staff and faculty. The health fair attracted nearly 400 attendees.

Mercy Medical Center employees provided free bone density heel scans, pulmonary function testing and body mass index readings, as well as low-cost blood screenings and a presentation on nutrition.

Mercy Medical Center and Walsh University have a history of working together, including participating in research studies, tutoring and mentorship programs, and providing opportunities for students to gain field experience. A physician from Mercy Medical Center is also on campus two days a week to help provide medical services to students.

Mercy Medical Center is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System.
