Healthy Learners Champions for Children charity golf outing tees off October 21

The 16th Annual Healthy Learners Champions for Children Golf Tournament in Memory of George Younginer tees off October 21 at the Fort Jackson Golf Club in Columbia, South Carolina. The tournament will include a day of golf, food, entertainment, contests and prizes while raising much-needed funds to support the mission of Healthy Learners. Last year’s event raised more than $100,000.

Colonial Life is the event’s premier exclusive sponsor for the third consecutive year, and the event is co-chaired by Rick Henry, WIS-TV sports director, and Matt Younginer, national account manager, Husqvarna and Healthy Learners Fund Development Committee member. Because of their volunteer time, financial support and commitment to the program, Jim and Anne Hart will be recognized as the 2015 Healthy Learners Champion for Children award recipients at the golf outing.

Proceeds from the golf tournament enable Healthy Learners to help thousands of children by providing them with health care services such as vision care, dental care and hearing evaluations. Visit healthylearners.com for more details and to register.

Healthy Learners is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System.
