St. John Medical Center holds 2nd annual golf classic event

More than 100 golfers came out for the second annual St. John Medical Center Golf Classic on July 27 at the Red Tail Golf Club in Avon, Ohio, for a day of golf, food and contests. The event raised money to support St. John Medical Center and its mission of providing care that is compassionate and professional.

“Thanks to your generosity and that of your companies, we have made the second SJMC Golf Classic a tremendous success,” said St. John President and CEO William A. Young Jr. during the event. “We are fortunate to have our partners, the Sisters of Charity Health System and University Hospitals, for their continued support to help St. John Medical Center grow and be the premier medical facility on the west side.”

Addressing the crowd at dinner following golf, Bay Village Law Director Gary Ebert said, “My wife, Pamela, and I have become involved with the leadership program there and watched how the treatment, the personalities, the personal touch, the doctors, the administration and staff has just come together. I cannot be more of a supporter.”

St. John Medical Center is co-owned by the Sisters of Charity Health System and University Hospitals.
