Matthew Levy named Academy of Medicine of Cleveland & Northern Ohio president

Matthew E. Levy, M.D., who is affiliated with St. Vincent Medical Group, has been installed as president of the Academy of Medicine of Cleveland & Northern Ohio (AMCNO) for the 2015-2016 term. St. Vincent Medical Group is an affiliate of St. Vincent Charity Medical Center, which is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System.

Dr. Levy is board certified in orthopedic surgery and is an active member of organized medicine, including the Cleveland Orthopaedic Club, Ohio Orthopaedic Society, and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He also serves on the AMCNO legislative committee. He has presented at several professional organizations' annual meetings and has co-authored numerous articles.

Dr. Levy received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University. He has been a team physician for several area high schools, as well as for the Cleveland Gladiators arena football team.

AMCNO is an independent regional organization representing physicians across Northern Ohio. With a membership of more than 5,000 physicians, the AMCNO is one of the largest regional medical associations in the country.
