Light of Hearts Villa celebrates 25 years

Light of Hearts Villa (LOHV) has been celebrating its 25th anniversary with special events throughout the year, including a recent special anniversary Mass of Thanksgiving with The Most Reverend Richard Lennon, Bishop of Cleveland. A reception in the LOHV activity center followed Mass, which had been decorated specially for the anniversary event.

Supporters and friends came together in early August for the Light Up the Night fundraising gala at Northfield Park, where they enjoyed dinner, live horse racing, raffles, an auction and more. LOHV kicked off its 25th anniversary celebration in April with the Rock-the-Villa fundraising event. Participants rocked in rocking chairs for up to eight hours to raise funds from sponsor donations prior to the event.

LOHV caps off its anniversary celebration with the annual Fall Fest fundraising event Sunday, October 12. Fall Fest includes dinner, a homemade bakery, raffles, a craft fair and pumpkin patch, and typically attracts 500 to 600 people. It is a celebration of LOHV’s mission as it touches the lives and hearts of older adults, with all proceeds benefiting the LOHV Benevolent Care and Charitable Care Funds.
