2013 Harvest Ball raises record $325,672 for Mercy Dental Services and dental residency endowment

Mercy Service League held its 2013 Harvest Ball October 19 at the Canton Memorial Civic Center, raising a record $325,672 for Mercy Dental Services and the Mercy General Practice Dental Residency Endowment.

This year’s Harvest Ball theme, Imagine, transformed the McKinley Room at the civic center into a stylish, art nouveau venue. From stilt-walkers to a steel drum band, the capacity crowd of 456 guests enjoyed dining, dancing, fun and fellowship while raising money to address the community’s number one unmet health care need—comprehensive dental care.

Thomas Paumier, D.D.S., vice chair of Mercy Medical Center Dental Services Section of Dentistry, served as the honorary medical staff chair. Mercy Service League board member’s Gail Moore, Christine Ridgway and Daphne Thomson served as event chairs.

Dr. Paumier also teaches in Mercy’s Dental Residency program. He is active in the Stark County Dental Society (past president and past treasurer), the American Dental Association and is currently the president-elect of the Ohio Dental Association.
