Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina’s Nonprofit Leadership Training Program graduates six in ceremony at Columbia College

Six students graduated August 2 from the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina’s Nonprofit Leadership Training Certificate Program, earning a certificate in organizational change and leadership from Columbia College’s graduate program.

The certificate program was designed for nonprofit leaders who are recognized as having great potential and are ready to take their nonprofit leadership to the next level. The certificate program illustrates the foundation’s commitment to providing educational opportunities and leveraging training for the capacity-building needs of nonprofits serving the underserved in South Carolina. In a partnership with Columbia College, the foundation continues to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of nonprofit organizations in South Carolina and, ultimately, the lives of its citizens.

The graduation ceremony honoring the 2013 class was held at Columbia College’s Humphries Hall. It was the fourth graduation class of the certificate program. In addition to a certificate in nonprofit leadership training, the students earned nine graduate hours through Columbia College.

Columbia College President Beth Dinndorf and Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina Board Chair Dee Dee Chewning recognized the graduates and presented the certificates.
“On behalf of Columbia College, I wish all of you the very best as you apply what you have learned through the Nonprofit Leadership Training Certificate Program and strive to better the community through your work,” said Dinndorf.
