Sisters of Charity Foundation of Cleveland sponsors Carson Scholars Award for Central Neighborhood student

Sherrell Adams, an eighth grade student at Carl & Louis Stokes Academy, which is a Cleveland Central Promise Neighborhood partner school, has won a Carson Scholars Award and a $1,000 college scholarship. The Sisters of Charity Foundation of Cleveland, a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System, sponsored the award for a student at Carl & Louis Stokes Academy.

Last year, the foundation sponsored awards for the other two Promise partner schools. One student at Marion-Sterling and one at George Washington Carver received awards. Students must be high academic achievers and must have a commitment to their community to be considered for the award.
