Four more community leaders join Providence Hospitals board

The Sisters of Charity Health System Board of Directors approved the nomination of four new members to the Providence Hospitals Board of Trustees.

Providence Hospitals introduces each of these new members who will begin a three-year term next month.

Daniel P. Bouknight, M.D., FACC, is a cardiologist with Columbia Heart Clinic. Originally from Greenville, SC, Dr. Bouknight is board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. He completed his fellowship at University of Texas Health Sciences in San Antonio, TX and was Chief Resident at University of South Carolina School of Medicine where he also attended medical school.

Thomas Neil McLean Jr. is CEO and Managing Partner for Sagacious Partners. A successful business leader, McLean consults and manages strategic and business planning, coalition building and information technology with a focus on economic development. He has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of South Carolina and an MBA from the Moore School of Business.

David C. Sojourner Jr., Esquire practices law at Ellis Lawhorne & Sims, P.A. where he is also a shareholder. His areas of expertise are tax and estate law and he is a Certified Taxation Specialist as well as a Certified Estate Planning and Probate Specialist.

Jason K. Tompkins serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Edens & Avant in Columbia SC. Prior to his role as CFO, he was Vice President for the company in the Finance and Capital Markets Division. Tompkins has a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech and has done graduate level coursework at a number of different institutions including University of Connecticut, Advanced Corporate Finance in France, University of Pennsylvania and the Aspen Institute.
