St. John Medical Center Presents Free Screening of 9000 Needles May 25

How far would you go for a fighting chance?

St. John Medical Center invites you to consider that question during a free screening of the award-winning documentary 9000 Needles, focusing on Devin Dearth’s heroic battle following a massive stroke.

The documentary follows Devin, a 40-year-old former bodybuilder, as he takes an unconventional journey to China to search for care and recover. Devin will make a special guest appearance. Attendees will meet Doug Dearth, the film’s director and producer (and Devin’s brother).

The screening, part of the 2011 Stroke Symposium, is Wednesday, May 25 from 12:45 to 2:15 p.m. at LACENTRE Conference and Banquet Facility at 25777 Detroit Road in Westlake, Ohio.

Advance reservations for the film screening are required. To reserve your seat, call Barbara Nealon at 440-827-5175.

The 2011 Stroke Symposium is sponsored by Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

St. John Medical Center is co-owned by University Hospitals and Sisters of Charity Health System.
