Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina announces 2019 Unsung Hero Award recipients for kinship care

As part of its kinship care initiative, the Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina recently awarded it 2019 Unsung Hero Award to three of South Carolina’s kinship caregivers who have provided outstanding care to children for more than a year. “The recipients of this year’s Unsung Hero Award couldn’t be more deserving. Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina awards Community Enrichment Grants

The Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina has issued Community Enrichment grants to 23 nonprofit organizations that implement best practices to address the root causes of poverty. “Our Community Enrichment grantee partners go beyond the expectation to assist people who experience poverty – they work to interrupt the cycle of poverty altogether. South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families to benefit from Men's Wearhouse National Suit Drive

The South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families is again partnering with Men's Wearhouse for the retailer's 12th annual National Suit Drive. The center is one of hundreds of nationwide nonprofit organizations to benefit from the campaign, which provides professional clothing for men re-entering the workforce. Throughout July, Men's Wearhouse will give customers 50 percent off the purchase of select items when they donate gently used suits or other professional attire during the campaign. [More]

Fatherhood program helps father obtain visitation rights and build relationship with his children

The South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families supports six fatherhood programs in 12 communities across the state to strengthen families through fatherhood engagement.
