Janice G. Murphy to Lead St. Vincent Charity Medical Center

The Sisters of Charity Health System today announced Janice G. Murphy, RN, BSN, MSN, FACHE, as president & CEO of St. Vincent Charity Medical Center (SVCMC), effective immediately. Murphy succeeds Dr. David Perse, who stepped down from that role August 6. Moving forward, Dr. Perse will continue as an employed physician of St. Vincent Medical Group.

Rosary Hall Co-Associate Medical Director Dr. Ted Parran provides expert opinion on qualifying conditions for medical marijuana use

A committee of health care professionals recently recommended that the State Medical Board of Ohio vote next month to include anxiety and autism spectrum disorder as qualifying conditions for medical marijuana use. Dr. Ted Parran, co-associate medical director of Rosary Hall at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center, was asked by the Medical Marijuana Advisory Committee to give his expert opinion on whether these conditions should be added to the more than 20 conditions already approved for marijuana treatment in Ohio. Fatherhood program helps father obtain visitation rights and build relationship with his children

The South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families supports six fatherhood programs in 12 communities across the state to strengthen families through fatherhood engagement. Tramaine Johnson first came to one of these programs, Father to Father, in need of help obtaining visitation rights.
