Regarding the ICE raid in Northern Ohio: Tell Congress to address immigration reform

On June 5, raids occurred at Corso's Flower and Garden Center in Sandusky and Castalia, Ohio, in Erie County. This area is a part of the Diocese of Toledo, the neighbor to the Diocese of Cleveland. One hundred fourteen of the migrants who worked at this facility were arrested and are being detained. Many of those who are now in the detention facilities have children and are members of parish communities. Please let your legislators know that the actions of ICE were inhumane and that there are more compassionate ways to respond, including comprehensive immigration reform. [More]

Service League raises $140,000 for Mercy Medical Center Safe Caring Initiative

At its annual membership banquet held Thursday in Canton, Mercy Service League presented the Mercy Development Foundation with proceeds from the 2017 Harvest Ball, which totaled $140,000. St. Vincent Charity Center for Bariatric Surgery patient realizes a dream in running the Cleveland Marathon

The Center for Bariatric Surgery at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center has had many success stories over the years in helping patients lose weight. One recent success story is Kathryn Ferenz, who lost 130 pounds and ran in the Cleveland Marathon on May 20.
