South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families releases 2018 impact report

In 2018, more than 3,200 participants enrolled in South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families fatherhood programs designed to help them be responsible dads. These same programs positively impacted the lives of 7,374 children in South Carolina. Tour of Good Cheer Brings Christmas Joy to Joseph’s Home

Dick Clough loves celebrating Christmas and the spirit of giving. He loves both so much he celebrates every year by giving away nearly 9,000 pieces of clothing, toys and gift cards to more than 1,500 adults and children through the Tour of Good Cheer. The Saturday before this Christmas, Clough, 85 volunteer “elves” and a fleet of four buses filled with the volunteers and gifts visited 10 facilities, including stops at St. Vincent Charity and Joseph’s Home. New Promise Neighborhood partner helps students transition to high school

In its years of work in Cleveland���s Central community, the Cleveland Central Promise Neighborhood has recognized that the process of choosing a high school starts in middle school. Unfortunately, many of Promise’s families report that students currently transitioning from middle to high school have access to few resources to motivate them around personal interests and high school choice. To help students better understand their options for high school and recognize what makes a good fit, Promise worked with College Now Greater Cleveland to install a full-time high school transition advisor in Central middle schools.
