Mercy Medical Center Cardiac Rehabilitation and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs have been certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). This certification is recognition of Mercy Medical Center’s commitment to improving the quality of life of patients by enhancing standards of care. St. Vincent Charity earns accreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in echocardiography

St. Vincent Charity Medical Center has been granted a three-year term of accreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in echocardiography in the area of adult transthoracic.
Accreditation by IAC indicates that St. Vincent Charity has undergone an intensive application and review process and is found to be in compliance with the published standards that demonstrate a commitment to quality patient care in echocardiography. Echocardiography is used to assess different areas of the heart and can detect heart disease or signs of serious cardiovascular conditions. [More]

Mercy Medical Center honors local EMS

Mercy Medical Center recently hosted its annual appreciation event for local emergency medical squads (EMS). Mercy sponsors this event to recognize EMS personnel for their lifesaving efforts throughout the year. As part of the evening’s activities, Mercy Emergency Chest Pain Center presented its STEMI (St Elevation Myocardial Infarction) Cup award to Green Fire Department for achieving the best “door to balloon” angioplasty time for the first half of 2019. Janice G. Murphy to Lead St. Vincent Charity Medical Center

The Sisters of Charity Health System today announced Janice G. Murphy, RN, BSN, MSN, FACHE, as president & CEO of St. Vincent Charity Medical Center (SVCMC), effective immediately. Murphy succeeds Dr. David Perse, who stepped down from that role August 6. Moving forward, Dr. Perse will continue as an employed physician of St. Vincent Medical Group.
