Chuck St. John, a longtime supporter of Light of Hearts Villa, has raised $25,000 over 12 years for the facility through his annual Stupjansky-Virag Paprikash Open golf outing. Three Sisters of Charity Health System hospitals achieved high marks in the latest Hospital Safety Score update from The Leapfrog Group. The Hospital Safety Score assigns A, B, C, D and F grades to more than 2,500 hospitals in the United States based on preventable medical errors, injuries, accidents and infections. Within the Sisters of Charity Health System, St. John Medical Center received an “A,” St. Vincent Charity Medical Center received a "B" and Providence Hospitals received “B” in the fall 2013 update from Leapfrog. Gardeners of Greater Cleveland lend green thumbs to Joseph’s Home to install and maintain therapeutic garden

Joseph’s Home residents have received untold health benefits from a therapeutic garden planned and installed by the Gardeners of Greater Cleveland from 2008 to 2009. Since helping install the garden, volunteer Bob Rensel returns to Joseph’s Home throughout the year to tend to plants and consult with Joseph’s Home staff and residents about how to care for all landscaping and gardening around the building.
