Key Initiatives:
Fatherhood Engagement: Statewide effort represents an investment of more than $13 million since 1997 to develop and strengthen local and regional programs working to reconnect fathers and their children. The South Carolina Fatherhood Policy Project Office opened in 2000 as an outgrowth of this Initiative to address policies, practices and attitudes that are barriers for fathers who desire to support their families.

The Sisters of Charity Health System also sponsors The Augustine Group, four community physician practices in South Carolina ( Providence Internal Medicine, Providence Northeast Family Center, Providence Northeast Family Center at Lake Carolina and Providence Woman's Health).

After School: Assisting rural, community-based programs that provide structured activities that develop children in Grades 1-5 mentally, physically and emotionally. Instrumental in the development and ongoing operation of the South Carolina After School Alliance.

Women Religious: Support for the health and social service ministries of Catholic sisters that form a critical part of South Carolina’s capacity to help those most in need. A partnership with the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Cleveland.
