Dedicated to improving the overall health and well-being of economically disadvantaged school children through education, prevention and intervention services. Healthy Learners is a statewide network of health professionals offer their services free of charge or at a reduced rate. No costs are incurred by the child, parent or school for medical care, transportation to and from medical appointments or prescription medications. Winner of the 2006 Catholic Hospital Association Achievement Citation and the American Hospital Association NOVA Award.

Key Accomplishments:
• Provided needed health services to more than 30,000 children free of charge.

• Expanded program statewide in 2005 to Allendale, Dillon, Greenwood, Lexington and Richland Counties.
