24-hour online giving events happening now to benefit Healthy Learners

Healthy Learners is participating in two 24-hour online giving events that are happening today (May 1). Palmetto Giving Day supports 54 nonprofit organizations working in Georgetown County, South Carolina. Also today is Midlands Gives. In addition to receiving the money donated, every gift made through MidlandsGives.org until midnight helps the chances of Healthy Learners winning prizes given throughout the day ranging from $500 to $5,000.

Midlands Gives is presented by the Central Carolina Community Foundation and is in its fifth year of this regional day of giving in the Midlands of South Carolina. Midlands Gives is an online giving event that provides nonprofits the opportunity to gain exposure to and start relationships with new donors, and for people in the Midlands of South Carolina to come together and raise as much money as possible for local nonprofits.

Donations to participating nonprofits May 1 will be magnified with bonus funds from generous sponsors. Visit MidlandsGives.org until 11:59 p.m. tonight. Search for Healthy Learners or click on this link to donate to Healthy Learners.

Donations can also be made in person at the Midlands Gives headquarters at the South Carolina State Museum (301 Gervais St., Columbia, SC 29214). The event is open to the public, featuring online giving stations with live assistance, concessions and games.

Palmetto Giving Day also features matching funds for donations made. Click on this link to donate to Healthy Learners.

Healthy Learners is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System.
