Richfield Chamber of Commerce names Regina Health Center Business of the Year

The Richfield Chamber of Commerce named Regina Health Center the Richfield Business of the Year. The chamber presented the award at its annual banquet and meeting January 18 at the offices of National Interstate Insurance in Richfield.

The chamber presented Regina Health Center with the award for demonstrating success, being recognized in the health care industry regionally and nationally, being a good citizen in the community, and for making an economic impact on Richfield and the region.

“It is a tremendous honor to be named business of the year by the Richfield Chamber of Commerce, especially considering how many exceptional businesses there are in our community,” said Regina Health Center Executive Director Mark Yantek. “It is also a testament to the hard work of our 220 employees and their commitment to provide quality, compassionate care, which has led to Regina Health Center receiving several other recognitions over the past year.”

The additional awards and recognitions include:

  • Scoring in the top 1 percent of all Ohio nursing homes for family satisfaction. In May 2017, the Ohio Department of Aging released the family satisfaction survey results. With a score of 93.2 out of 100, Regina Health Center placed fifth statewide among 541 participating nursing homes.
  • Receiving the highest quality rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. The overall 5-Star Rating includes three sources of information: health inspections, staffing, and quality measures.
  • Being named one the Best Nursing Homes for 2017-18 by U.S. News and World Report. In Ohio, Regina Health Center is listed among 130 best nursing homes out of 960.

Bill Considine, CEO of Akron Children's Hospital, served as the keynote speaker at the banquet.
