South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families leader recognized by women’s caucus

South Carolina Representative Deborah Long recently presented a certificate of recognition to Tyrom Faulkner, executive director of the Lancaster Fatherhhood Project, at the South Carolina General Assembly Women's Caucus' annual Jean Laney Harris Awards Luncheon.

The Lancaster Fatherhood Project is part of a network of fatherhood programs reaching across South Carolina that is supported and coordinated by the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families. The project offers education and services uniquely tailored for fathers trying to rebuild their lives and their families to overcome the barriers to being a responsible and involved father.

This year, the South Carolina General Assembly Women's Caucus focused on nonprofits and the work that is done within South Carolina to make the state better. The certificate was presented to Faulkner “in recognition of and appreciation for service to the community, in strengthening families, and helping fathers overcome barriers to being responsible and involved parents.”

The South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System.
