24-hour online giving event May 5 to benefit South Carolina nonprofits

The Central Carolina Community Foundation is presenting its second regional day of giving in the Midlands of South Carolina Tuesday, May 5 with its 24-hour giving challenge, Midlands Gives.

Midlands Gives is designed to raise money and awareness of more than 200 Midlands nonprofit groups, including two ministries of the Sisters of Charity Health System: Healthy Learners and the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families. The goal is to help nonprofits attract new donors and build online fundraising capabilities to support long-term success. The inaugural Midlands Gives raised more than $700,000 for 150 South Carolina nonprofits via a one-day online public fundraising campaign.

All donations to participating nonprofits Tuesday, May 5 will be magnified with bonus funds from generous sponsors.

Visit MidlandsGives.org Tuesday, May 5 from midnight to 11:59 p.m. and then scroll through the list of organizations to select Healthy Learners and/or the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families to receive a donation and have it magnified. Donations can be made to multiple organizations with a minimum contribution of $20.

Healthy Learners and the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families are ministries of the Sisters of Charity Health System.
