St. Vincent Charity Medical Center welcomes vice president of mission and ministry

After nearly 12 years of accomplished service as the vice president of mission and ministry at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center, Sister Mary Ann Mozser, CPPS, has retired. In addition to being a tremendous source of energy and spiritual strength, Sister Mary Ann’s achievements extend far beyond her formal duties. Her contributions included increasing St. Vincent Charity Medical Center’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, supporting the Homeless Stand Down, administering the St. Vincent Charity Medical Center employee assistance and prescription funds, and being a vital part of the overall Sisters of Charity Health System mission and ministry. Following her retirement on April 4, Sister Mary Ann continues her lifetime of service to others by volunteering to oversee the many volunteers at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center.

Sister Miriam Erb, CSA has assumed the role of vice president of mission and ministry at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center. Sister Miriam became the St. Vincent Charity Medical Center mission vice president and part of the hospital executive team as of April 7. Most recently, Sister Miriam served as congregational leader of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine for 12 years. She has also been an active leader in the civic community through participation in numerous boards and initiatives. Previously, her leadership has also extended from education to parish life and elder care.

A longtime proponent of collaboration of ministry among women religious, Sister Miriam helped bring to Cleveland “Women & Spirit: Catholic Sisters in America,” which is stunning chronicle of the pioneering women religious who established schools, hospitals and other enduring institutions, and continue to work for peace and social justice. Sister Miriam served as part of a collaborative team, which also included the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Cleveland, that not only brought the exhibit here, but also added a component featuring the lives and works of women religious in Northeast Ohio.

As she assumes her role at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center, Sister Miriam continues her role as a member of the Sisters of Charity Health System’s Public Juridic Person and as a member of the Sisters of Charity Health System’s Board of Directors.

St. Vincent Charity Medical Center is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System.
