Touchdowns add up to $7,500 for South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families

The South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families recently received a check for $7,500 from TD Bank to assist with the center’s mission of helping South Carolina fathers become great dads.

In a ceremony at a University of South Carolina men’s basketball game in February, representatives from TD Bank presented the check to Executive Director Pat Littlejohn and Chairman of the Board of Trustees Rick Mendoza (pictured to the right in the middle of the photo).

The money was raised through the “Touchdowns for Fatherhood” partnership between the center and TD Bank. Each time the University of South Carolina football team scored a touchdown during its 2013 season, TD Bank added to a running donation to be made in support of the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families.

The South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families, which is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System, believes that children thrive when an engaged, responsible father is active in their lives.
