Providence Hospitals announces new physician practice

Providence Hospitals has opened a new physician practice in Irmo, South Carolina. Called Providence Family Medicine Dutch Fork, the practice is headed up by physician Michelle Archer, M.D.

Dr. Archer is a native of South Carolina who received her degree from the University Of South Carolina School of Medicine and did her residency at the USC School of Medicine Family Practice.  Board Certified in family medicine, Dr. Archer enjoys being a preceptor to the nurse practitioner students through the University Of South Carolina School of Nursing and has been in practice in the Columbia area for 14 years. Her special interest in sports and adolescent medicine with an emphasis on promoting wellness education and preventive care makes this practice a destination for the many families and athletes in the Irmo area.

“We are so pleased to announce that Dr. Archer has joined Providence Physicians and is actively accepting new patients in the Irmo area. We are confident that the practice will be a great resource to patients looking for a primary care physician in Richland or Lexington County,” said Ken Beasley, associate vice president of ambulatory physician services for Providence Physicians, the practice arm of Providence Hospitals.

Providence Hospitals is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System.
