Light of Hearts Villa deploys new Wi-Fi emergency call system to enable residents to call for help anywhere

Light of Hearts Villa is the first senior living community in the state of Ohio to deploy the AeroScout® Wi-Fi Emergency Call Solution from STANLEY Healthcare. The system enables residents to call for assistance not only from any location within the multi-story building, but also in the extensive grounds that surround Light of Hearts Villa. Residents have been equipped with wireless AeroScout call pendants.

“We’re very proud to be at the forefront of using the latest technology to improve care for our residents,” says Elizabeth (Betty) Hickle, executive director of Light of Hearts Villa. “When we began looking for a replacement for our legacy wired nurse call system, we had several goals in mind. First and foremost, we wanted to increase safety for residents while outside their apartments, and reduce the number of audible alarms. In addition, we wanted to leverage our investment in Wi-Fi coverage throughout our facility, and we needed better data on response times and resident call patterns to further improve our performance and care levels.”

Funding for the new Wi-Fi emergency call system was provided by the SC Ministry Foundation, The Eva L. and Joseph M. Bruening Foundation and the Sisters of Charity Foundation of Cleveland.

Light of Hearts Villa is a co-sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati and the Sisters of Charity Health System.
