Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina releases 2012 annual report

The Sisters of Charity Foundation of South Carolina recently released its 2012 annual report, “Changing the Face of Philanthropy.”

After 16 years of grantmaking, the foundation transitioned in 2011 from responsive grantmaking to strategic grantmaking. This transition was made to ensure that the foundation would have greater impact with grant dollars invested—with grants becoming more intentional and more focused to have greater impact in communities around the state.

  • About the more than $1.9 million awarded in 102 grants through the foundation's effective giving
  • Leadership and transformation within the Carolina Academy
  • Advocacy milestones in advocating and spreading the word
  • Listening to others through foundation hosted listening sessions
  • Going deeper with important issues within the foundation’s Fatherhood Initiative and Collaboration for Ministry Initiative
