St. John Medical Center Festival of the Arts attracts record crowd and more than 200 artists

The 2013 St. John Medical Center Festival of the Arts celebrated its 20th anniversary July 12-14 with record crowds and a weekend filled with beautiful weather.

The festival brought more than 200 fine artists and craftspeople from across the country to the St. John grounds, featuring a diverse representation of mixed media, including jewelry, wearable art, stained glass, basketry, ceramics, watercolors, oils, photography and more. It also featured live musical entertainment, a food court, children’s crafts and bounce houses, and family fun.

Visitors were encouraged to bring nonperishable food items with them, which were donated to local food banks. St. John Medical Center’s Community Outreach also offered free health screenings with blood pressure, cholesterol, skin and glucose checks.
