South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families receives $7,500 from Touchdowns for Fatherhood program

The money was raised through the “Touchdowns for Fatherhood” partnership between The South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families and TD Bank of the Midlands. The South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families received a check for $7,500 from TD Bank during halftime of a University of South Carolina basketball game in February. Representatives from TD Bank presented the check to Executive Director Pat Littlejohn and Board Member C.B. Smith (pictured to the right).

The money was raised through the “Touchdowns for Fatherhood” partnership between The South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families and TD Bank of the Midlands. Each time the University of South Carolina football team scored a touchdown during its 2012 season, TD Bank made a donation to the center. In addition to the touchdown donations, the bank provided two tickets to every home game to a lucky fatherhood participant and his child. Representatives from TD Bank are also working to improve the financial literacy of fatherhood participants by leading group sessions and assisting participants in opening bank accounts to better manage their finances.

The South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System.
